The BABE Project officially kicked off on 1 March 2026, and just a few weeks later, on 21
March, we proudly received our grant contract at the Interreg Hungary–Croatia Programme
award ceremony in Osijek-Baranja County. It was a memorable and inspiring moment for our
team!
In March, we also developed the project’s visual identity and were excited to unveil it at our
Kick-off Conference held on 14 April at UNIOS PTFOS in Osijek. The event brought
together representatives from regional authorities, industry, academia, the media, and -last but
not least- students who will take part in piloting our upcoming MOOC and short courses.
Since then, we’ve been keeping the momentum going! From April to June, the BABE team
met regularly online, exchanging ideas and working together to shape innovative learning
opportunities for the biotechnology professionals of tomorrow.
