Predstavljanje projekta javnosti u okviru edukativne aktivnosti „Škola kemije na PTF-u“
U sklopu 9.

Presentation of the Project to the Public within the Educational Activity “School of Chemistry at Faculty of Food Technology Osijek“
As part of the 9th „School of Chemistry at Faculty of Food Technology Osijek“ Assist. Prof. Valentina Bušić, PhD, presented the EMSEO project to the public. During the presentation, the project goals were highlighted, focusing on the development of more sustainable chemical processes. The project explores the application of green and innovative synthesis and extraction methods — such as microwave and ultrasonic irradiation, mechanochemistry, and low-temperature eutectic solvents — with the aim of reducing energy and solvent consumption as well as negative environmental impact. Special emphasis was placed on testing the bioactivity of the prepared compounds and on using food industry by-products as alternative catalysts, thereby further promoting sustainable chemistry and the development of a circular economy.
The project is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
