“Solutions in Chemistry & RiChem2026”, September 1st-5th, 2026, Rijeka, Croatia

Two poster presentations at an international conference

Another inspiring scientific experience is behind us! We were pleased to participate in the international conference Solutions in Chemistry & RiChem2026, organized by the Croatian Chemical Society, where we presented the results of our research through two poster presentations focusing on green chemistry.
The first study focused on the green synthesis of selected quinazolinone derivatives using deep eutectic solvents, together with the investigation of their electrochemical properties and interaction with a DNA biosensor.
The second poster presented the use of food industry by-product ash as a green catalyst in the synthesis of acetylsalicylic acid, exploring the potential of transforming waste materials into useful catalytic materials.
The conference was a great opportunity to present our research, exchange ideas and experiences with fellow scientists, make new connections, and discuss future research and collaborations. We are particularly happy to continue promoting the principles of green and sustainable chemistryand demonstrating how innovative research can contribute to a more sustainable future.
