„Večernji List“, daily newspaper in Bosnia and Herzegovina, interviewed Marija Banožić, a young researcher who is working on a Project ByProExtract, under supervision of Stela Jokić, PhD.

Stela Jokić, PhD, is approved a bilateral project with Slovenia entitled „Separation of active compounds from food by-product – Cocoa Shell and formulation of powderous product“, in collaboration with Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Maribor. The project leader from Slovenija Prof. Mojca Škerget, PhD.
The aim of the project is to produce products with functional characteristics, products with high added value and improved characteristics (stability, antioxidant activity, coloring characteristics, etc.) for use as functional ingredients. Research will include the powder product formulation using Particles from Gas Saturated Solutions processes (PGSS) by using supercritical fluids and characterization of the obtained products. Research within the project will result in innovative sustainable technologies for the production of high value added bio-products for use in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
The duration of the project is from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2019. The list of approved projects is attached.
